1% for the Planet
Shibui Tea is a proud member of 1% for the Planet, which means we commit to giving at least 1% of our annual sales directly to environmental causes every year, regardless of how the business performs.
We've chosen to direct our giving to five charities working across the causes we care most about: healthy oceans, wild land, native woodland, plant science, and the protection of sharks and rays.
To date we've donated over £33,000 to charitable causes.

The Marine Conservation Society
A UK charity fighting for a cleaner, healthier, better-protected ocean. MCS works to recover the health of our seas through clean seas campaigning, protecting and restoring marine habitats, and promoting sustainable fishing and seafood.
John Muir Trust
A Scottish conservation charity, established in 1983, dedicated to protecting and repairing wild land and wild places for the benefit of all. The Trust manages significant Scottish sites including Ben Nevis, Schiehallion, Quinag and part of the Knoydart peninsula.
The Woodland Trust
The UK's largest woodland conservation charity, standing up for native woods and trees since 1972. The Trust protects ancient woodland, restores damaged habitats and plants native trees across more than 1,200 sites in the UK.
The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh
A global centre for biodiversity science, horticulture and education, whose mission is to explore, conserve and explain the world of plants. RBGE runs an international research programme and cares for a living collection of thousands of plant species.
The Shark Trust
A UK charity established in 1997 to safeguard the future of sharks, skates and rays through science, education, influence and action, working at both a national and international level.
