Toasted Kukicha

This Japanese tea is very unusual in style. It's made from the branches and stems of the tea plant rather than the leaves. These stems are then dried and toasted to give a nutty smoky taste which can be described as somewhere in between a green tea and an oolong. A wonderful & refreshing tea perfect for the early afternoons and goes great with spicy food. Also known as twig tea.
